Golis Energy Co was founded in 2004 by young renewable energy specialists and environmental activists and technicians,
when the need of renewable energy is arise around the globe, and has worked and insisted to be on the target goal over a
decade of challenging circumstance where people in Somali region was not aware of renewable energy services, and
finally we are convinced the independent power providers to switch their generator system to Solar and wind farms and
has installed for IPPs over 1000KW of solar and wind. We also guarantee the electricity production of our solar energy
systems to our customers. We are the only company that offers integrated sales, financing, design, installation and
monitoring for efficiency services without involving multiple third-parties.

Golis Energy, established in Hargeisa, and has been providing solar power to households and commercial entities for over 14 years. Golis Energy is currently the role model of installer, retailer, and servicer of wind and solar energy equipment in Somaliland. Golis Energy has been the choice installer of renewable energy for USAID, various United Nations agencies, INGOS, the EU, private sector and the Somaliland government.

While Golis has built a strong reputation and a solid client base, many cannot afford residential or commercial renewable energy systems due to the high price then Golis proved down payment systems with financial Support of INGS like Shuraako.org to expand a credit facility to offer credit payment plans to its customers. Through this credit facility, more Somalis will have access to renewable energy systems for their farms, homes or businesses – thus lowering their energy costs while providing consistent energy.
